Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of QiStudy, operated by Aleksandrov Consulting (KvK-nummer: 91337895, registered in the Netherlands). By accessing or using QiStudy, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use our platform.

Article 1 – Who We Are

QiStudy is an educational technology platform providing student-written summaries and interactive practice exams for Dutch university students.

Article 2 – Eligibility

To use QiStudy you must:

• Be at least 16 years old or the minimum legal age required to consent to data processing under GDPR.
• Be enrolled or affiliated with a Dutch university or higher education institution.
• Not be barred from receiving services under EU or Dutch law.

Article 3 – Accounts & Access

• You must register using Google OAuth. We collect only minimal personal data (name, email).
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity under it.
• QiStudy reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts at its sole discretion for violations of these Terms.

Article 4 – Subscriptions & Payments

• QiStudy operates on a subscription basis. Access to summaries and practice exams requires an active subscription.
• Payments are securely processed by Stripe. We do not store payment card details locally.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• No refunds are offered, except where required by Dutch or EU law (e.g. statutory withdrawal rights for consumers).
• You remain responsible for all fees incurred under your account.

Article 5 – Intellectual Property

All content on QiStudy, including student-written summaries, practice exams, design, logos, and platform software, is owned by or licensed to Aleksandrov Consulting.

• You may access content only for personal, non-commercial educational purposes.
• Redistribution, resale, or public sharing of QiStudy content without written permission is strictly prohibited.
• QiStudy retains all intellectual property rights, including those of contributing writers.

Article 6 – User Content & Conduct

Users may not upload, post, or share content that is unlawful, offensive, or infringes intellectual property rights.

• You may not attempt to copy, scrape, or reverse-engineer the platform.
• You may not share login details or allow others to access your account.
• Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or termination without refund.

Article 7 – Acceptable Use

QiStudy may not be used to:

• Engage in academic dishonesty or cheating.
• Distribute malicious software, spam, or unlawful content.
• Infringe the rights of other users or third parties.

Article 8 – Third-Party Services & Links

QiStudy relies on third-party processors to operate securely:

• Authentication & Analytics: Google Firebase & GA4 (Google Terms)
• Payments: Stripe (Stripe Legal)
• Email delivery: Amazon SES (AWS Service Terms)
• Database hosting: MongoDB Atlas (MongoDB Terms)

Article 9 – Disclaimer of Warranties

QiStudy is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free service, or that content will meet your expectations. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

Article 10 – Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch and EU law, Aleksandrov Consulting shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of data, academic results, or business opportunities. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the subscription fees paid in the preceding 12 months.

Article 11 – Termination

QiStudy may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, for any violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or unlawful conduct. Users may cancel subscriptions at any time via the platform or by contacting support.

Article 12 – Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be submitted to the competent courts of the Netherlands.

EU consumers may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform:ODR Portal.

Article 13 – Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be posted on this page, with continued use of QiStudy indicating acceptance of the revised Terms.
